Songwriter, musician, preacher, gardener, marketer, web manager, husband, father, grandfather, traveller, photographer, TV watcher.. I’ve tried them all, and it’s only in the last one that I’ve consistently succeeded. But we press on.. You can link to my blogs and music pages from the menu above. Or you can visit my YouTube channel for some music and stuff, including the best Beatles tribute act you’ll ever see and some fantastic Indian music recorded during concerts at Woodstock School.

Or if you want a more interesting read, try this.

My Dad wrote his memoirs before his death in 2005. You can download them here. He was born in 1914, so his recollections give many fascinating glimpses of life in Liverpool during the 20th century, including the part he played in a celebrated murder trial, the Wallace Case.

Memoirs of James “Al” Wildman

After I put these online, I received messages from two people whose fathers were of a similar age and background. They had brought back great memories. I was also contacted by John Gannon, who was writing a book on the Wallace Case (published in 2013). Here’s an article about the book. There is continuing interest in this case. Here’s a discussion on a Liverpool forum (which references my dad’s memoirs).
